Our tour hours are Monday-Friday 8:30 am-4:30 pm and Saturday 10:15 am-4:30 pm.

At Capital Grand, we offer spacious 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom apartments. Our apartments range from 1,221 square feet to an expansive 1,855 square feet and feature a variety of modern amenities! To view current availability, visit our Floor Plans page.

Yes, but residents are responsible for painting the walls back to the original color at move-out.

You must complete a satellite addendum and abide by its terms prior to installing or using a satellite dish.

Services

We have a compactor located at the entrance by Building 11. We also have a Valet Trash service that does doorstep collection Sunday through Thursday.

Capital Grand has Valet Trash services! Trash is collected from your doorstep after 7 PM, Sunday through Thursday.

Yes, we have a local law enforcement officer on site as an after-hours courtesy patrol to respond to any after-hours noise complaints. To utilize this service, please call the office number and follow the prompts to leave a voicemail to the courtesy officer with detailed information about your complaint, apartment number, and phone number. They will receive your message and call you back as soon as possible.

Amenities

Yes! Capital Grand has a fitness center that is open 24 hours a day and is equipped with free weights and a variety of strength and cardio machines.

Our apartments are thoughtfully designed with a variety of amenities to enhance your living experience. Each home features air conditioning, soaring 9-14 foot ceilings, full-size washer and dryer connections, spacious bedrooms with walk-in closets, and more. Enjoy large, fully-equipped kitchens with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Plus, our homes come with either a patio or balcony to enjoy the outdoor views. Capital Grand has Amazon Hub lockers for delivery packages! These lockers are available 24/7 for you to pick up your packages at any time after they arrive. The Hub accepts packages from multiple carriers such as Amazon delivery, USPS, FedEx, and UPS. All package couriers are directed to use the Hub. Your package will be delivered to the Hub and you will receive a notification with a one-time pick-up code. At the Hub enter the code on the screen and the door pops open. You will receive an email with a sign-up link. Sign in with your Amazon account or sign up for a free account. Then you will be ready to pick up your packages at the Hub.

Capital Grand has a beautiful pool by the leasing office! The pool hours are sunrise to sunset. You can relax on the poolside loungers, chill under the shade of the pavilion, grill at the BBQ station, or enjoy the warmth of our firepit.

Application Process

To tour an apartment home we require any prospects over the age of 18 to provide a valid government-issued photo ID.

Your total gross income must not fall below three (3) times the amount of rent you will be required to pay, considering any state, federal or local assistance, benefits, or subsidies you receive. The income requirement may be modified if required by federal, state, or local government subsidy or financing programs. A guarantor or additional deposit may be required if the income requirements are not met. All applicants are subject to approval through ScreeningWorks, the community’s third party applicant screening agency. Screening criteria will be applied uniformly and in a manner consistent with all applicable laws, including state and federal housing laws, federal fair credit reporting laws, program guidelines and administrative rules. Approval of all applicants are based on an empirical system that incorporates multiple credit factors along with other non-statistical factors to determine overall applicant worthiness.

Applicants are required to verify income by completing an income verification step provided in the applicant portal after the application is submitted. Applicants can connect a bank account or connect directly to a payroll provider. In some cases, your employer may automatically provide salary information through The Work Number. Self employed applicants must either connect a bank account, provide a financial statement prepared by a CPA, or provide the previous year’s W9. Newly employed applicants must provide an official offer letter including salary and start date from the employer.

"A valid government-issued photo identification is required as part of the application process. The following are acceptable forms of identification:

Group A Primary Acceptable ID

  • Valid driver's license from a U.S. state
  • Federal or state ID card
  • Military ID card
  • U.S. passport or card
  • Permanent Resident Card
Group B Secondary Acceptable ID
  • Foreign Passport with one of the following:
    • Valid copies of Temporary I-551 Employment Authorization
    • Form I-20
    • Form I-94
    • Form I-485
If you do not have a valid form of ID from Group A, you may provide a secondary form of ID from Group B. All forms of ID must be current."

Yes, you can have a guarantor. The guarantor must meet the qualifying criteria and have a gross income that is 5x the rent amount. Guarantors are for people who do not qualify for income only.

"You MUST include everyone who will be living in the apartment, including those under the age of 18 and guarantors (if applicable). Everyone 18 and older will be listed as a leaseholder for your apartment. If you are the first person filling out the application, you will be prompted to invite, via email, all persons 18 and older to complete an individual application. For anyone under 18 years of age, only name and date of birth need to be entered. "

If your application has not yet been approved by the leasing office, simply log in to your application, and invite them to complete an individual application. Be sure to contact us to let us know you added someone so we can ensure they are included in the approval process. Note: If your application has already been approved, contact us and we can help.

All roommates must qualify to be approved, but applicants can apply to qualify on their own. All applicants over the age of 18 must be leaseholders.

When you login to your Applicant Portal, any outstanding charges will appear so you can easily make a payment.

Neighborhood

Capital Grand is close to a variety of grocery stores, with Publix, Walmart Supercenter, ALDI, and Target all less than 3 miles away.

At Capital Grand, we have our own onsite pet park! We are also within 5 miles of Tom Brown Dog Park and All Saints Dog Park.

Capital Grand is in the zone for Conley Elementary, Fairview Middle, and James S. Rickards High. We are also a short commute from Florida State University and Florida A&M University!

Our community offers two Level 2 EV charging stations, located near our office beside the onsite car wash station. You can use the following website from the Department of Energy to locate nearby charging stations: https://afdc.energy.gov/fuels/electricity-locations

Capital Grand is 3 miles from Governor's Square shopping mall.

Our community is less than a mile away from Capital Regional Medical Center. We are also a short drive from Tallahassee Memorial and HCA Florida Capital Hospital, both about 5 miles from Capital Grand.

Capital Grand is about 20 minutes from the Tallahassee International Airport.

Lease

We have electronic lease signing which is super easy and convenient! After your application is approved, each leaseholder will receive an email with instructions to review and electronically sign the lease.

"Yes, with applicable fees and a month-to-month rent increase. "

"Yes, with applicable early termination fees listed in your lease agreement. "

"Anyone not listed on the lease cannot stay in the apartment for more than 7 days in one week, and no more than 14 days in any one month. "

"Yes, any occupant staying in the apartment home more than 14 days a month must be added to the lease. "

Lease terms can range from 7-15 months.

The shortest lease term option we offer is 7 months.

Yes. Residents must obtain and maintain renter’s insurance with a minimum of $100,000 personal liability coverage during the term of their lease. If the resident has an pet, their policy must cover pets and animal bites. If the resident does not have renter’s insurance, they may contact ResidentShield, a leading insurance company that offers high quality, low cost insurance protection to residents of our community. More detailed information about ResidentShield can be found at www.residentshield.com or by calling a licensed agent at (800) 566-1186.

Residents also have the option to get coverage through a different third party provider. If a resident elects to obtain coverage from another insurance carrier, they will be required to provide the declarations page for their policy, including the name of their insurance company, the policy number, the effective and expiration dates of the policy and ensure that our property and information below is listed as an Additional Interested Party on the policy:

If we do not receive an updated Renter's Insurance Policy, the resident will be enrolled in our Master Insurance Policy and will have a recurring monthly lease charge to cover the home only. This policy does not insure your personal property within the home.

Payments

Once your application has been approved, we will contact you by phone and send you a “welcome letter” via email, which will include the amount of your first payment and other important information about your move.

The remaining balance from your security deposit, if applicable, will be refunded once final utility fees and cleaning and/or damage fees are charged.


Residents can now set up Walk In Payment System (WIPS) account to make cash payments through our WIPS provider, PayNearMe. PayNearMe makes it easy and convenient for you to make a payments at thousands of trusted payment locations nationwide, including participating 7-Eleven, CVS Pharmacy, Walmart, Casey’s General, and ACE Cash Express, using a mobile PaySlip barcode.


If you would like a PaySlip barcode, please contact the leasing team. Once we have setup your account, you will receive a welcome email from PayNearMe with more details on how to make a payment. As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions!

Rent is due by the 1st of each month.

Resident Portal

Yes! You can access the portal using the Westdale Living Mobile App, available on Google Play and The App Store.

Through the app, you can make payments, create maintenance requests, and get notified of announcements and calendar events when you turn on push notifications.

As a resident, you will have access to a portal where information on your account, your lease, your utilities, community events and general information and updates will be accessible. We encourage residents to check the portal at least weekly and allow push notifications for community updates.

Residents can access the portal online at www.westdaleresidents.com or through the Westdale Living Mobile App, available on Google Play and The App Store.

Our apartments are cable-ready and wired for high-speed internet.

Pets

Yes, Capital Grand is pet-friendly! Please reference our pet policy on the Amenities page or contact us for more information.

Residents are permitted a maximum of 2 pets per apartment home in Capital Grand.

Capital Grand has an onsite pet park and pet waste stations around the community.

We do not permit exotic pets in our community.

Capital Grand has a restricted breed policy and does not allow aggressive breeds. Please contact our office for more details.

Parking

No, all parking is complementary and is available on a first come, first serve basis.

Capital Grand offers detached garages for rent. Please contact us for availability and pricing.

Motorcycles can be parked in any open parking space.

Only 2 vehicles per licensed resident are allowed.
